This year we met in Kuhmo. Our annual Pääkkönen Family meeting was organized in Eräranta Hunting Cottage. In the beginning it was raining, but fortunately the weather changed and the sun begun to shine. It was lovely and warm beyond the Kellojärvi Lake.
When the meeting begun we had a coffee service with delicious bakings. Very warm thanks to Maija-Liisa Pääkkönen, Merja Pääkkönen, and specially to Dale and Howard Paakkonen! We all want to thank Howard and send our best wishes after his 97-year celebration in Minnesota!
After singing together we had our official program. Then we had sauna, swimming, barbequing and social activities outside. Musician Veikko Pöllänen played accordion, and some people were dancing.
There were altogether 60 persons around Finland and even Eeva Golding´s family from Dunmow, England. It was lovely to see you all! We wish to everybody nice and warm summertime. Hopefully we´ll meet again in our next family meeting in 2019!
